Cast in Stone (9/24)
Discover the many types of stones, fossils and crystals all around the creek bed, and add to the trail by making your own stepping stone. We’ll explore “stone fruits” like peaches, plums and cherries to compare (and enjoy!).
-
Recycle/Repurpose (10/1)
We’ll make festive crafts with paper mache and then feed our scrap paper to the worms. We’ll make healthy mud pies (but with pudding this time) in re-usable containers to enjoy for snack.
-
Water Wonders (10/8)
The water all around us is wonderful! We will do some simple water testing and demonstrations on how to keep our watersheds clean and healthy. We’ll transform water into fun herbal teas and share watermelon for snack.
-
Fledge (6/19)
Baby birds fledge and leave the nest when they have feathers to fly. We’ll search for feathers and find out what other natural things can fly. We’ll make bird’s nest snacks and then make a grand nest in preparation for our graduation from group.
Going out of our way to make it good!

An inclusive, facilitated play session to support children with differences engage in nature play and have weekly out-of-school socialization. We take special care in helping children feel welcome, no matter their abilities!

Carefully Planned Outdoor Play Areas
Sessions are held outside at Tendrils Therapy. We have large open spaces for running, food gardens for harvesting and play equipment that is blended with the natural environment. A small creek is a child favorite, and a diverse group of plants and insects promotes wonder and appreciation of the natural world. Spaces are designed with themes that allow children to move in a group, or seek some alone time if needed. We embrace the seasonal changes and have outside interests in ALL seasons.

Small Groups and Attentive Professionals
Group size will be 6 participants to 2 adults. We strive to be child-centered, but adult monitored. Participation is encouraged, but free play is honored to ensure that children have quality interactions. Families will be provided with suggested tie-in activities for more play at home. We have YEARS of experience helping families play together!
